Pretty Pink Tablescape for an Easter Luncheon
Who doesn’t love pink at Easter time? It’s my favorite springtime color. If you want to use pink as your main color for a ladies’ gathering, get ideas for a pretty pink tablescape for an Easter luncheon here.
This pretty-in-pink tablescape isn’t just for show. Today my Bible Study group is gathering for our end of season get together. Our Lenten study this spring was the book of Luke which we finished last week.
At Christmas time, we always go out to lunch at the end of our Bible study. In the spring, we like to gather at someone’s home. I volunteered this year because I already had a new pink tablecloth on the dining room table and I had made a spring centerpiece that needed an update. I also had a great salad recipe that I wanted to make again.
As usual, I had fun putting this tablescape together. I think you will have fun and get inspired when you see my version of a pink tablescape.

First Steps for a Pink Easter Tablescape
For this pink tablescape, I started with the pretty pink and white check tablecloth that I found a few weeks ago. I loved the tassel trim around the edge. Because I used both leaves of our dining table, I bought the 120 X 55-inch size.
A few weeks ago I styled a whimsical spring centerpiece for our dining room. I knew that it would need to be reworked for this new Easter tablescape.

Since this centerpiece is one-sided and I wanted both sides to be attractive for my guests, I removed everything from the white woven tray. I wouldn’t need the cloche with the carrots, the bunny salad plates, or the salt and pepper shakers for the updated centerpiece.
Reimagining a New Easter Centerpiece
I knew the first element of the centerpiece would be the lovely flower arrangement that I bought last week at the Junior Charity League Benefit luncheon.

Every year, my favorite things to purchase are the gorgeous plant arrangements that members create. I shared all about this event several years ago.
First, I added the azaleas and plants in the wood bowl to the woven tray along with my concrete bunny. This wood bowl will make a great decorative accessory.
The arrangement had a cute little bunny, but I thought he was too small.

I replaced the little bunny with two of the acrobat bunnies that belonged to my son when he was little. He said years ago that I could keep them.

Next came the large bird’s nest with some decoupage eggs and the little bunny.

I added another smaller bird’s nest and three large faux carrots. I wanted to fill in as much of the tray as possible with interesting and colorful things to look at.

On the back side of the arrangement, I added two more acrobat bunnies, brought back the vintage clay pots with “growing” carrots and a little bird.
Finally, I found some pink paper “shred” and filled in empty spots. Now, if you are sitting on this side of the table, you still have an nice view.

For a finishing touch, I added bows on the handles of the tray. I used my favorite sheer pink ribbon. The centerpiece was done.

Adding the Place Settings
I didn’t have any chargers to use, but I remembered a package of colorful round floral placemats that I had bought at the antique mall a couple of years ago. I hadn’t used them so now was the time.
Here are some other pretty options: these floral placemat and these lovely tulip placemats.

I knew that the bright colors would pull my Easter tablescape together. But then I had a problem. Do you see what it is?

The placemat was too big. My white woven tray was quite wide and wouldn’t allow for two placemats on each side of the table.
The solution? Start over with a narrower tray. I switched to my narrower brass tray.

Then I used all my “ingredients” for the first centerpiece with a few placement adjustments.
Now I had room for the centerpiece and the placemats. I added the sweet pink plates I bought at the Target Dollar spot a few years ago. They would serve as chargers.

The DIY air-dry clay Easter eggs that I made a few weeks ago are perfect used as napkin rings. The different colors pick up the colors in the floral placemats.

For silverware, I used my inexpensive set of white flatware.

For glassware, I used my plain everyday white wine/tea/water glasses. You can see one set of my vintage salt and pepper shakers.

I set my collection of bunny plates on the table to be used for the brownies that a friend is bringing. This is my other pair of salt and pepper shakers.

Adding Serving Pieces
For serving the salad, I’m using the cutest Easter tray that I found at the antique mall last week for $15. It came from Pier 1. For serving the brownies, I brought out my ruffled-edge cake stand.
This would be a simple menu for our Easter luncheon. One friend is bringing hummus with pita to nosh on. I will make my favorite Little Gem Caesar Salad with Lemon and Garlic Dressing. Another friend is bringing a Lemon Cake.

The pink and white stripe pitcher is from Home Goods. Another friend is bringing iced tea.

Finishing Touches to the Pink Easter Table
I wasn’t using place cards for this luncheon, but I wanted something special at each place setting. I found the sweetest little egg cups which would be perfect for holding some Easter M&M’s.

You might think I found these at the antique mall or a thrift store. Nope. I found them at Target Dollar Spot. What a deal at $1.00 each. Aren’t they the cutest thing?

As the last addition, I added clear glass salad plates for our main course.
