Yummy Cheddar Chive Biscuits
Happy Friday.
For some of you school is out today. That could be a good thing or a not so good thing.
Some of you may have another week before the kids are out of school for the summer. One more week to run errands, get chores and projects done before the kids take over your days.
Or you may be like me and those days are a just sweet memories and now your time is ~sort of ~ your own.
Today I want to share one more of my favorite Southern staples ~ biscuits.
Not just any biscuit, but a really yummy, sink your teeth into, eat with~or~without ~ butter biscuit. One you can use to make a sandwich with ham or turkey. This is our Kentucky Derby Biscuit.
Cheddar Chive Biscuits
Awhile back I shared these sweet, crumbly biscuits from GW Fin in New Orleans ~ a must~have if you visit the city ~ that I made when we returned home.
These Cheddar and Chive Biscuits are the old~fashioned baking powder biscuits. Originally, I made them with cheddar, chives and bacon. Gosh they were delicious. This year, I decided to forego the bacon since we were serving them with ham (ham and bacon ~ is that too much?) as little sandwiches.
The Recipe
I hope you’ll try these. They are so easy and the dough can keep in the fridge overnight if need be.
Pull up a chair. Grab a biscuit. Smell the aroma of the biscuit. Eat the biscuit.
I told you they were yummy.
Have a great weekend.
