Magnolia Market, home to Fixer Upper
Discovering Magnolia Market, Home to Fixer Upper
On Monday, many of you knew the location of the silos in the mystery picture. Yes, it was the silos that Joanna and Chip Gaines from Fixer Upper bought to relocate their shop, Magnolia Market. Well, as they say in HGTV land, here is the big reveal.
We arrived at the store at 9:50 to find about a dozen other fans of the Waco Wonders taking pictures and waiting for the shop to open. Not to be left out, I did the same.
The windows across the front of the store clearly state the decorating vision of designer Joanna. Fans of the show know her love of vintage pieces, neutral colors, re-purposed items, and natural textures.
And, of course, I had to prove that I really was there.
The inside of the store is really small, but artfully arranged, full of the vintage-looking accessories that you have seen on Fixer Upper. The displays are exactly how you imagine Joanna would decorate.
The candles are Joanna’s signature scent.
I was hoping that Joanna or Chip would walk through the barn doors, but no such luck.
We can’t image Joanna or Chip not giving a good-bye Texas-style. Next door is another building called The Barn. It’s not a barn, but a small building with more great Fixer Upper goodies.
I couldn’t leave without a souvenir!
Yesterday, I received this message announcing the first Magnolia Market Home Show during Labor Day weekend. Sounds like a really fun event.
Have a great weekend and keep “fixin’ up”.
Hello,
I just discovered your blog. I love it! I am driving from Phoenix to Houston to visit my son this Fall and on my way home I am going to stop by Waco and go to Magnolia. I am so excited. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Shirley, so happy you found me and welcome to bluesky kitchen. We love Scottsdale and have been vacationing here almost yearly for 16 years. Have a safe trip to Texas and definitely make a trip to Waco. My son lives there so I visit there too. Please come back often.
Lucky you.
