Hello on the day after Thanksgiving. I hope that you had a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving full of food, family, friends and football. Are you stuffed? Have you overdosed on football? Have you been shopping for Christmas presents online since midnight? I can tell you that I’m stuffed. Last year we traveled to Atlanta to visit our daughters and grandkids, but this year it was a quiet day at home with Sweet Shark’s sister and our brother~in~law. Now, I’ve had plenty of football, and I don’t shop on the day after Thanksgiving. How do you spend the day after Thanksgiving? How to enjoy the day after Thanksgiving is such an individual thing.
How to Enjoy the Day after Thanksgiving
Here’s what Sweet Shark and I do the day after Thanksgiving.
- Catch up on reading.
- Watch an old movie on T.V.
- Take a long nap.
- Take a walk. (Not always, but it seems like a positive goal to have.)
- Eat good Tex~Mex ~ after the all~American Thanksgiving meal of turkey and dressing and mashed potatoes and pecan pie, spicy chips and salsa with tacos and enchiladas just tastes wonderful.
Before we can do all those enjoyable past times, we have to take down all the Thanksgiving decorations and start decorating for Christmas. I can bring out the Christmas decorations and Christmas china and the Santas and reindeer and snowmen. It will be a jolly time. “A most wonderful time of the year.”
Holiday Home Blog Hop is Coming
I also just wanted to drop in for a quick minute to tell you about something fun, entertaining and inspirational that starts next Monday and continues throughout the week ~ a Holiday Home Blog Hop hosted by Chloe at Celebrate and Decorate.
17 bloggers will be sharing some Christmas decor with the world. I don’t know about you, but I love Christmas decorations and I love to see how others are decorating their homes. And I can’t wait to share mine with you. Next Wednesday, I’ll share some of our my Holiday Decorations 2017 to you. Until then, I thought it would be fun to see some of our Christmas decorations from 2016. It was my favorite Christmas decorations ever. I’ve got some new ideas in the works for this year.
I hope you enjoy the rest of the Thanksgiving weekend. I’ll be thinking about you. But first I have finish putting away the turkeys and pumpkins, take a nap, then take a walk, and then have some Tex~Mex.
