Hello there and welcome to Happiness is Homemade Link Party 293. After a glorious week in New England, we are back home. Although it was hot as blazes when we stepped out of the airport on Tuesday afternoon, by Wednesday morning, it was a fabulous fall day. I think summer has finally left town.
Our trip to Chatham on Cape Cod was amazing in spite of the wind and rain ~ now I know what a Nor ‘Easter is ~ but didn’t stop us for one minute. The only thing we couldn’t do was take the ferry to Nantucket: they had all been closed. We had so much fun staying with our longtime friends from Dallas who have a home in Chatham. The shopping was amazing (I had to borrow a suitcase to bring it all home.), the food and restaurants (lots of oysters, clam chowder and lobsters) were wonderful.
Fortunately, our 2 days in Boston were brilliantly sunny and cool (We hadn’t seen the sun in 6 days!) and again we walked everywhere. Ate more oysters and lobster and enjoyed walking through historic sites.
So let’s get this Halloween link party started. Linda has focused on Halloween features this week.
